TechCrunch Party Tonight in Seattle
I'm heading over to the TechCrunch Seattle party around 8p tonight in South Lake Union.
It's amazing that I know like 50% of the people going there. Check out the attendee list here.
Jon Staenberg of Rustic Canyon Partners is also hosting a summer kickoff party at Palisades in June along with a bunch of other BBQs in the area.

WSA Investment Forum 2006
Just got back from the WSA Investment Forum 2006 in downtown Seattle. Saw some really good sales and funding pitches. Wireless and digital media are clearly very hot right now. Startups included mobile photo sharing, podcasting and web services firms.
Some of the companies had questionable revenue strategies and I just didn't think that the market opportunity was there. I don't feel like the "Revver" type revenue sharing model works well for every startup where content creators and the service providers split revenue. A startup can't also rely completely on advertising revenue because once traffic dips your revenue is gone.

Mobile Monday in Seatte
Attended Seattle Mobile Monday last night at the convention center. Mobile Research and Mobile Complete presented. Both seem to be pretty cool tools if you're making a mobile application, game or WAP site. Looks like WAP use is really going to take off in the coming months.
